Use new fabrics and recycle your favorite long sleeve Western shirt, with snaps, and jeans to make this fun Don't Fence Me In - II quilt measuring 48" by 20". Rail fence blocks, boot appliqués, bandanas, and embellishments add to the theme. Every quilt will be unique. The Western shirt is used for accents, hanging hoops, and binding. Recyled jeans are used for accent and border treatment. Every cowboy and cowgirl will want their own quilt to hang above their bed or use this conversation wall hanging in any country decor. Download the pattern and instructions and get started now. This pattern is a spin off of my blue ribbon award winning quilt Horsepower: Don't Fence Me In. Not only horses, but cowboys and cowgirls don't want to be fenced in! This is sure to be a favorite among your family and friends. I used a cue stick as a hanging rod, use your imagination.
BJ's Twin Towers in rust and blues
Boots were made with faux suede trimmed with leather lacing, set on rail fence blocks. Twine was couched around the body of the quilt. Free motion quilting was used on body and border of quilt.

Below is Bunny's interpretation of the quilt! She lives in the city so she didn't own any Western shirts with snaps. I find plenty in the thrift shops where I live. So Bunny improvised, she used a regular shirt and added cowboy buttons. She wanted to make it glitzy for a girl's room so added some trims to the mix along with those pink bandanas. In addition to recycled jeans, she used some pink denim that she had on hand. Any cowgirl would love this quilt!

Bunny added details with studs and Western buttons. She free motion quilted. Look at that lasso that she tied! Another great job Bunny!
