BJ's Quick Lap or Crib Serged Quilt Pattern $10.00

BJ's QUICK LAP or CRIB size 60" by 40" is a TRI-COLOR design, 2-layer scrappy patchwork quilt made on a serger. The basic quilt uses straight seams with the 4-thread overlock stitch and is finished by serging. Make a wonderful lightweight summer quilt or home decor table cloth if made with all cotton fabrics. Made with flannels, fleece or pre-quilted fabric makes a heavier cozy winter quilt. If you want to add embellishments, just modify the basic pattern by adding batting for a 3-layer quilt, free motion quilting, adding embroideries, or binding. The front and back design are the same patchwork blocks, making it a reversible quilt, one side showing the serged seams and the other side plain blocks. Making this quilt is a great way to use up those extra fat quarters in your stash. You will need a total of 15 fat quarters (3 different colors) or for yardage 3 fabrics (1 1/2 yards each). The actual construction of the quilt takes about 1 hour. You can enhance it by adding binding and borders if you wish I am donating quilts to Soldier's Angels Organization for wounded and ill soldiers. I have had many helpers who donated hundreds of quilts. To add to the cause, I am sharing the pattern for FREE if you donate at least one quilt to this wonderful cause.
