In the fiber art arena, I am formally trained by London's City & Guilds, earning my Diploma certificate in Patchwork and Quilting in December 2006. I can claim to be the first person ever to complete all three courses online. I started my fiber art journey as a surface dyer and fiber painter then branched out into digitizing home embroideries, teaching classes in surface design techniques and contemporary quilting.

Before settling into the fiber arts world, I taught college and worked in the corporate world as a multi media developer.

My formal education includes a BA from Franklin & Marshall College, PA and an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) from Shippensburg University, PA. This foundation helped to propel me to become an entrepreneur. I set up my e-commerce business over 14 years ago, here I sell various arts and crafts, including quilt patterns, home embroidery designs, hand dyed fabrics, contemporary quilts, dried and paper flowers. Additionally, I offer online workshops. I am my own webmaster and graphics designer. Being my own boss provides freedom to delve into my fiber art passion.

My quilts and garments have been juried into and shown at various quilt shows and art quilt exhibitions in the US and Europe. Quilt shows include Houston International Quilt Association, PA National Quilt Extravaganza (1st Place Innovative Interpretation of the Theme and 3rd Place Wall Hanging), Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival (Judge's Choice Winner), Denver National Quilt Festival, Quilt Festival of NJ, Quilt Odyssey, Quilts for Change, National Quilt Association, AQS Lancaster PA, Quilters? Heritage Celebration Lancaster, Indiana Heritage Quilt Show, Pacific International Quilt Festival and Quilt Expo Den Haag Fashion Show (garment on runway). Exhibition shows include She Made Her Mark, Sacred Threads, Art Quilts Markings (Professional Art Quilt Alliance - South) and Rust-Tex Collection.
