Giant Poppy Pods I
	I wanted to capture the beautiful shape and shading of giant poppy pods. The pod image was solarized to bring out the characteristics. Simple pod shapes were again picked up in the quilting motifs.

	The focal point of this small contemporary quilt are the Inko Dye transferred prints of Gigantium Poppy Pods. The prints were transferred onto a light colored commercial Batik fabric. Don't you just love those helioprints, they are magic to watch develop! The printed background has angular free motion quilting. The lighter multi-colored Batik fabric was free motion quilted with variegated heavy weight thread. The quilt measures 11" by 20".
