Hardwood:
Fall
My original contemporary design series includes "Hardwood: Fall".
Imagine the view one would see when looking up from a huge tree truck
into the sky through fall leaves.

The background cotton fabric was created using a snow dyeing technique. The truck fabric was discharged linen/rayon. The truck was machine appliquéd with contour free motion quilting. Three leaves were created with Shiva sticks with netting overlay with hand stitching. Background was free motion machine quilted with hand stitching emblishments.
This piece measures 41" width by 53 1/2" height. Created in 2010.
